okay, so some of you may remember, there was the whole question of whether or not i would move into the trawler (that would be an ohio accent there). because of this rather important question, i made additional trips down to athens to figure out what the hell i was gonna do. at one point, i was looking for a place to rent and saw an ad on craiglist about an old brewery in nelsonville that was for rent. it sounded like a sweet deal $250 for about 1000 square feet with hookups for elect & plumbing but you build out to your desire. anywho, these are a few pics of the old gorgeous and so totally not livable brewery. not the lack of ceiling and harvesting of bricks to sell. yikes. what the hell were these guys thinking posting a rental ad on craigslist?
bricks are like currency down here. people collect them. some of them cost an incredible amount for a freakin' brick. there once was a traditional of each town making it's own brick. yes, these were the days that even bricks were higher quality. go figure.
